Volunteers FAQ
Please arrive 30 minutes before your assignment begins, and immediately check-in at the Volunteer Sign-in Desk at the Merchant Building located at the North end of the Fairgrounds.
Please park in the parking lot at the North end of the Fairgrounds. You will use the Harding Highway entrance. The parking lot you will park in will be marked.
On Thursday & Friday, Teri Silone and her team will be expecting you at the Volunteer Sign-in Desk at the Registration area of the Fairgrounds located at the Merchant Building. The team will get you checked in and will get you the information you need.
When you sign in, you will be issued a “Volunteer” T-shirt that we need you to wear as your outermost garment while you are working. This T-shirt identifies you as an individual who can provide answers and directions for inquiring students and guests, who will be instructed to “ask someone in a Volunteer shirt” if they need help.
Sponsors/Exhibitors FAQ
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Booth set from noon-5:00 p.m.
Thursday and Friday:
8:00 a.m. Sign-In Opens
9:00 a.m. Opening Statements made to students
9:15 a.m. Demonstrations begin. Students will visit with companies selected through interest survey.
11:30 a.m. Students will be provided lunch on a rotating schedule
1:30 p.m. High School Dismissal
In the Expo Hall, the standard booth size is 12 ft wide by 10 ft deep. Outside booths are flexible depending on the demonstration size. Please inform the coordinators through the booth activity form what your space requirements are for your demonstration. Within this form, please identify if your booth needs include 8-foot or 6-foot tables, chairs, a tablecloth, and a power supply. The more the coordinators know before the event, the better so as to make the student experience at your booth the best it can be!
Your booth should be staffed from 9:00 a.m – 1:30 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.
Tear down can begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday
