MakerFest is powered by the individuals and companies who volunteer their time to help make this event happen.

Thank you for helping us ensure the success of MakerFest 2024 by volunteering. Please keep in mind that your primary responsibility as a volunteer is the safety and security of the participating students.

The information below are areas that you can help. The general activities of each volunteer role are listed below. These descriptions are not intending to be complete or limiting, but rather to explore the general purpose of each role. Fairgrounds Setup (Tuesday)

Help exhibitors load-in and setup individuals’ booths and troubleshoot issues encountered.

Registration (Thursday & Friday)

Work at the Registration Desk, supporting guest sign-in.

Exhibit Hall Monitor (Thursday & Friday)

Station in a conspicuous location in the Main Exhibit Hall, observing and noting student decorum and interrupting inappropriate behavior. Roam within all corners of the exhibit halls.

Perimeter Monitor (Thursday & Friday)

Position along the perimeter border of the exhibit space, and monitor activity at the border, either redirecting exiting students back into the approved zone.

Food Service Support (Thursday & Friday)

Staff the lunch distribution stations, collecting lunch tickets from students and adults and distributing one bag lunch per ticket as they enter the lunch area.

MakerFest Tear Down (Friday)

At 1:30 Friday, work with the team disassembling the MakerFest event, including equipment, supplies, furniture, inside and out.
